A part of the Lafayette musical community since 1982, the LCB is comprised of 90 talented woodwind, brass and percussion instrumentalists. Members come together on Tuesday evenings to rehearse from late August through June. They travel from more than fifteen communities surrounding Lafayette where they pursue careers as varied as accounting, education, engineering, computer science, homemaking, banking, medicine, law and retirement. The Lafayette Concert Band has been awarded the Sudler Silver Scroll. This award is administered by the John Philip Sousa Foundation and is North America’s most prestigious award for Community Concert Bands.
General admission tickets may be purchased at the door the day of the concert for $10 and children under 12 will be admitted free of charge.
